I love the fact that, as women, we share the experience of menopause with each other. Sometimes, this is a meandering road that offers a low-key, no-frills journey. For others, it hits like a ton of bricks to the face. Think Jekyll and Hyde delivering a knock-out blow. Pow!

Menopause doesn’t recognize color, age, or country of origin. It does know women, and no one can escape this life change. It impacts us physically, psychologically, and physiologically. While it’s different for each of us, it still connects us as women.  

So, let’s do a better job supporting each other. Let’s empower. Let’s arm ourselves with knowledge and talk about it. Reach out to your girlfriends who are struggling. Ask her how she is doing. Does she need to vent? 

Have you ever shared an experience with someone only to realize, “Oh, my GOSH, I am so glad to hear I’m not the only one?” We joke that misery loves company, but there’s a lot of truth in the commonality we all share going through this menopause experience.
